Pal nut
The Pal nut is a device is screwed on the bolt on top of an underneath the nut.
Threaded applications can be require Pal-nut lock nuts. It can be used alone or in combination with ordinary nuts. So also require U-Nuts, Wing Nuts, Acron-Type Nuts, tension nuts. Un-threaded applications require self-threading nuts or Push-nut fasteners. Commonly referred to as counter nuts, stamped sheet metal check-nuts or self locking counter nuts. Also very light weighted. So they also host a low profile. And tightened with an internal wrench or fingers. And it also provides a vibration resistant locking action. So usable in small, tricky areas suffering from space restrictions. Thus available in different range of sizes also.
General:
Pal nuts come in a variety of sizes, design features to insure the success of your application.
It incorporate a design principle that has stood the test of over 60 years. Because these nuts may be used alone for load-carrying in light-duty assemblies. To assure tightness of high-stress assembly. So offer impressive savings over alternative fasteners in initial cost, assembly time, weight and space. They are removable, reusable, self-cleaning. They are unaffected by temperatures up to 400°.
Tension nuts: Pre – assembled on adjusting screws to a predetermined point. Subsequent turning of the screw, advances the tension nut until it touches the work. Barbs on the nut base then “bite” and resist further turning.
On-sert fasteners: Pressed onto hollow plastic bosses. Where they minimize splitting and stripping.
Push-nut bolt retainers: Temporary fasteners that hold pre-inserted bolts in place until they reach final assembly.
