Description
TCB BOLT
TCB Bolt (Tension Control Bolts) installing pre-loaded or High Strength bolts. As they are commonly known throughout the world. And replacing high strength friction grip bolts. TCB is a heavy duty bolt used in steel frame construction. The head is usually domed and is not designed to be driven. The end of the shank has a spline on it which is engaged by a special power wrench.Which prevents the bolt from turning while the nut is tightened.
General:
TCB’s as they are commonly known throughout the world. Are replacing conventional high strength friction grip bolts. Because they are quick and easy to install using lightweight Electric Shear Wrenches. Guaranteed tension together with visual inspection removes the likelihood of operator error and ensures engineers that connections are tightened in accordance with specifications.
High strength TCB’s are used in a wide range of applications from bridge splice plates to beam-to-column connections, from stadia roof trusses to rail switches and crossings.
The combination of superior tensile strength together with phenomenal ductility result in a universal bolt that can be employed in almost all steelwork connections.
Efficient, safe, easy and quiet to install. Whereas TCB’s are corrosion resistant and eco-friendly fasteners. Tension Control Bolts also known as tc bolts are used for high strength, steel to steel fastening. It is one of the most commonly used fasteners for high strength applications, even preferred over large hex bolts. The head is dome-shaped and is not designed to be driven with normal tools
