Lifting Eye Bolt:
Lifting Eye Bolts are used to attach a securing eye to a structure. So that slings or other hardware can be attached for lifting. Lifting Eye Bolts are load rated and made from forged steel that has been quenched and tempered. Moreover one of the most commonly used pieces of hardware in material handling, an lifting eye bolt has a simple design, consisting of a threaded shank with a ring/eye at one end. Bent eye bolts should only be used in light duty applications and should never be used to execute angular lifts.
General:
An eye bolt is a bolt with a loop at one end. Because they are used to firmly attach a securing eye to a structure, so that ropes or cables may then be tied to it. Hence simply drill a hole into the concrete, hold the fixture you’re fastening over the hole, then use a hammer to tap the anchor into the hole. As the pin is hammered in, the sleeve expands outward, trapping the anchor in the hole.
Eye Bolts are measured from under the eye. Whereas Hanger bolt length is measured from end to end. Shoulder bolt length is measured as the lenght of the shoulder. Sex bolt length is measured from under the head.
